Mahatma Gandhi
A leader who embodied nonviolent resistance, Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of civil disobedience changed the course of history and inspired countless movements for justice.
I find him inspiring because he proved that true strength comes not from force, but from unwavering principles. A little-known fact is that three future world statesmen were present at the Battle of Spionkop during the Second Boer War: Boer general and future South African Prime Minister Louis Botha, a young British war correspondent named Winston Churchill, and a medic—Mahatma Gandhi.
