Lord Horatio Nelson

A legendary naval commander, Lord Horatio Nelson is best known for his decisive victories in the Napoleonic Wars, particularly at the Battle of Trafalgar. His bold leadership and strategic brilliance shaped the course of history.

I find him fascinating because of his fearless approach to battle and his ability to inspire loyalty in those who served under him. He had “the Nelson touch.” In my many visits to Trafalgar Square in London, for some reason, I always seem to snap a picture of his statue.
