A controversial figure who, as a young medical student, travelled throughout South America and was appalled by the poverty, hunger, and disease he witnessed. His unwavering dedication to his ideals, despite controversy, makes him a fascinating figure in history.

I admire his intellectual depth and his belief in taking action to address social injustices, even at personal cost. My parents took me to see the musical Evita in London in 1978 - I was mesmerized by the character of Che Guevara.
